What are the responsibilities and job description for the Designer Kitchen and Bath position at InDesign Kitchen and Bath Remodeling?
We are looking for an ambitious, talented and energetic Kitchen and Bath Designer to join our growing team located in Johns Creek, Alpharetta area.
The Designer is responsible for working with customers to ensure they have a five-star service.
Specific responsibilities include showroom appointments, estimating and writing proposals, and customer relations. Working in collaboration with other designers, project managers, contractors.
Kitchen and Bath Designer Overall Responsibilities
· Build new relationships and support existing customers and contractors
· Partner with customers by assisting them with product selection,
· Communicate trends, new product releases, upcoming promotions, delivery dates on purchases
· Articulate differences in cabinet lines and direct customer through the selection process
· Prepare bids, materials estimate from customer/contractor supplied blueprints
· Prepare and input order
· Solicit new accounts
· Conduct job site visits
- Excellent customer service skills
- Able to multi-task, work independently, and collaborate with other team members
- Minimum of two years of sales or design experience preferred
- Proficiency in using the 2020 Design software or a similar one
- Working proficiency with computers and Google Workspace
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform in house measuring and photos to accurately describe potential projects to the team.
- Create initial job notes from meeting to accurately describe the project.
- Participate in production meetings.
- Engage client in the design process through Deposit/Design agreement & look for potential issues
- Visit job sites as needed for additional information needed in estimation.
- Compare pricing on materials to be ordered as needed.
- Give support when needed to the field so they can succeed.
- Building business from a large existing customer base while working closely with a sales team
- Working with trade professionals and their clients to design and quote K & B projects
- Designing kitchens, bathrooms, bars, entertainment systems etc., using the 2020 software
- Quoting and managing the full cycle ordering process for all K & B projects from inception to completion
- Maintaining pricing and merchandising for the K & B department
- Responsible for ongoing K & B Product and Service Training
- Proficiency in using the 2020 Design software or other kitchen design software
- Saturday shifts per appointment
Requirements
· Must be organized, timely, and courteous.
· Must maintain a professional appearance.
· Must have reliable transportation.
· Work site visits will be required on occasion.
· Proficiency in 2020 Design or Chief Architect software is a plus, but not required.
· Some travel to trade shows or vendors may be required.
Our compensation package includes: base salary, commission, paid vacation, paid holidays
Base pay Commission - earn $35,000 - $120,000 per year
