Job Description
- We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee and direct our production team members at our facility in Adel, GA area.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day activities in our manufacturing facilities, including employee safety, product quality, housekeeping, 5S, production efficiencies, machine uptime, waste, planning and scheduling, and timekeeping.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe manufacturing facility for all employees.
- Maintains a secure workplace, responsible for the physical operation of the plant.
- Assumes the role of 'Acting Plant Manager' during off-shifts and when the Plant Manager is not on the premises.
- Reviews production schedules, staffing issues, and communicates with the Plant Manager for continuity and preparation.
- Conducts communication 'huddles' at the beginning of every shift to review actual performance, schedule, and assignments.
- Sustains and audits core disciplines, holds Associates accountable for quality control, productivity, safety, housekeeping, scrap data input, and communication expectations.
- Establishes a productive tempo on the plant floor by working with a purposeful pace and presence.
- Verifies that Operators understand Work Instructions and verifies material availability before job set-up.
- Drives strict compliance with Quality Control procedures to ensure consistency and limit quality exposure.
- Trains, guides, and assists Associates in their roles, coordinates training for new Associates, and monitors timely completion and documentation.
- Ensures accuracy with daily and weekly payroll audits and provides performance evaluations and pay reviews in a timely manner.
- Generates improvement ideas and supports teamwork to achieve business goals.
