Description
JOB SUMMARY
Supplies material to required machines, load and unloads supplies and keeps warehouse orderly and has all materials put up and located properly and is involved in daily and monthly Safety audits of equipment and personnel.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
Duties include but are not limited to :
Responsible for safe and efficient operation that meets all OSHA and Corporate regulations.
Responsible for all general inventory, warehousing, and Traffic programs.
Responsible to initiate and implement systems to improve inventory control (FIFO).
Coordinate inter-plant shipments, transfer raw materials, finished goods and packaging materials. Work, act, think, and converse in terms of improving quality and eliminating waste in his / her process.
Must be able to work efficiently and seamlessly with other divisions within Indevco Group to drive improvements.
Continuously improve the process as an individual and as team member.
Responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day operation of the machine is consistence with the policies and procedures which make up of Quality System.
Specific duties :
Performs inspections per Quality Assurance.
Cleans machine and area according to the schedule for forklifts, stretch-wraps and scales. Responsible for creating an environment of teamwork focused on producing quality products.
Ensures machine Preventive Management is performed according to the schedule for forklifts, stretch wraps, and scales
Completes all required tracking forms (Inspections and Checklists).
Ensures materials are available for next order and next shift.
Set the example of safe operation by following established safety guidelines and holds self and other accountable.
Responsible for efficient use of labor on a day to day basis.
Initiates and supports improvement initiatives.
Other duties as instructed by General Manager and / or CS & Logistics Manager.
Conducts all plant “Forklift Certification” Training.
Keeping area clean and safe.
Monitor and check warehouse raw materials, finished goods and packaging on a regular basis. Order as needed and correct as needed.
Manage verification, validation, and best practices in IPO’s Food Safety Plan as determined by the Food Safety Management System.
Manage Personnel Processing Practices in IPO's Food Safety Plan as determined by the Food Safety Management System.
Managing inventory levels and organizing storage efficiently using WMS tools.
Overseeing shipping, receiving, and distribution processes with the help of WMS software.
Implementing and optimizing warehouse layout for maximum space utilization.
Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining a secure work environment.
Recruiting, training, and supervising warehouse staff.
Coordinating with suppliers, clients, and transportation companies using WMS data.
Analyzing productivity metrics and developing strategies for improvement.
Maintaining and troubleshooting WMS and related software systems.
Preparing reports on warehouse performance and inventory status.
Standards of Performance :
Ensures everyone has the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Ensures all “Certification” is up to date.
FIFO Inventory.
Training back-up personnel.
Ensures shipping and receiving as per procedures.
Requirements
Knowledge :
Basic understanding of computers.
Ability to communicate and work well with others.
Train the trainer certification.
FIFO inventory (determined at month end inventory).
Customer Dedicated to meeting the experience and requirements of internal and external customers and uses first-hand information for improvement activities.
Direct Others-Establishes clear directions; lays out work in a well-planned and organized manner; maintains tow-way dialogue with peers on work and results; clearly communicate.
