We are seeking an experienced Lead Quality Technician to join our team in Doswell, VA. The Lead Quality Technician
will randomly select and analyze data from production and supplier samples. Communicate analysis to appropriate personnel and maintain the Quality System for compliance, and will also be involved in daily and/or monthly safety audits of equipment and personnel.
Job Responsibilities include:
Verify lab testing has been conducted, and the results are passing- Conduct special testing
- Perform random quality inspections of material in production
- Assist in dispositioning and investigate root cause behind non-conforming material in production and assist in fixing root cause
- Verifying non-conforming material are entered and labeled correctly
- Inspect quality hold sections regularly to ensure the flow of materials
- Generating Certificate of Analysis
- Cover Lab Technicians when needed
- Troubleshooting quality issues in production
- Calibrating lab equipment in quality labs and on the production floors
- Assisting with new hire orientation
- Assisting the QA Techs with questions and determining if materials with questionable results should be placed on hold or released to sell.
- Basic understanding of computers and lab equipment.
- Responsible for initiating and implement systems to improve “Quality System”.
- Continuously improving the quality process as an individual and as a team member
- Ensures all environmental standards and requirements are met
- 2 years experience in Quality department, preferably in manufacturing
- 1 year experience in manufacturing environment
- Computer experience, specifically with Microsoft and Teams
- Leadership skills, attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Read and interpret data, reporting results based on customer requests
- Attention to detail
- Associates degree preferred, but not required
