Shift Leader

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to join our team in a dynamic casual dining environment. The Shift Leader will play a crucial role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage kitchen staff effectively while promoting a positive work atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and ensure efficient food preparation and service during shifts.
• Assist in managing kitchen operations, including inventory control, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
• Train new employees on kitchen protocols, food preparation techniques, and safety standards.
• Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas.
• Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly to ensure a positive dining experience.
• Collaborate with management to develop strategies for improving service efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or casual dining industry is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations. Food Safety certification is required.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Proficient in budgeting and managing inventory effectively.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Passion for providing exceptional customer service and fostering a positive team culture.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.50 - $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
