Indian Creek School is an independent, co-ed day school in which 600 students aged 3 to Grade 12 partner with innovative teachers in an outstanding educational program. This is a full-time (40 hours), 10-month position with occasional summer responsibilities, reporting to the Upper School Principal.
Responsibilities
- Teach four sections of Upper School Spanish.
- Create a positive and safe classroom culture and community.
- Collaborate with a World Languages department that is committed to educational innovation and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Work with the Upper School principal and administrative team to provide an excellent and engaging educational experience for students.
- Use a variety of assessments to assess students’ written and oral language proficiency. Provide feedback on student assignments in a timely and constructive manner.
- Maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Serve as an academic advisor to a group of students.
- Attend all divisional, departmental, and school faculty meetings including professional development days.
Qualifications
- Desire to be actively engaged in the work of innovative teaching, diversity and inclusion, and ongoing professional growth.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (Master’s preferred)
- Demonstrated experience in teaching Spanish and Upper School education.
- Ability to teach two of the World Language Department's core courses (Spanish 1, 2, 3, 4)

Benefits and Salary Range
Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's years of experience at an educational institution and prior administrative experience and responsibilities. Candidates will be offered a competitive salary and are exempt from overtime within the range of $55,000 - $95,000, dependent on experience.
