Job Summary
The C-Store Cashier performs assigned duties in accordance with all established policies, procedures and Internal Controls of the Plateau Travel Plaza. The Cashier ensures that the highest level of guest service is provided to all guests, internal customers and other outside parties at all times. Must be knowledgeable about Indian Head Casino and the Warm Springs reservation.
Skills or Experience
Ideal candidate will provide a positive customer experience with fair, friendly, and courteous service. Duties include registering sales on a cash register by scanning items, collecting payment, and giving back change. Includes taking orders accurately, deli-style cooking, food prep, packaging, rotating, and temp taking. Will operate deli equipment and various utensils, also includes stocking, rotating and displaying of product. Provides responsive answers to customer inquiries. Cashiers are held accountable for the accuracy of their POS transactions.
Education
High School Diploma or GED. Must be 18 years old or older. Excellent customer service skills. Some cash handling experience preferred. Basic math skills with fair knowledge of basic calculations. Food preparation experience preferred. Professional appearance and demeanor. Self-motivated with the ability to follow directions. Ability to get tasks done with little or no supervision. Ability to operate cash register and work with numbers. Will work varied shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
