Job Summary
Under the guidance and supervision of the Table Games Supervisor, the Table Games Dealer is responsible for controlling and dealing cards during game play. The Dealer is in direct contact with guests at all times and is responsible for providing the highest levels of guest service possible while
protecting the integrity of the game and the security of company assets.
Promote and develop positive customer relations. Must always be courteous, friendly and efficient when interacting with guests and coworkers from all departments.
Duties
Promote and develop positive customer relations. Must always be courteous, friendly and efficient when interacting with guests and coworkers from all departments.
Properly deal Blackjack in accordance with the rules of the game and gaming policies and procedures. This includes shuffling the cards, overseeing the placement of bets, the correct setting of hands, correctly paying winning wagers and collecting losing wagers, processing cash purchases of chips and exchanging one denomination of chips for another.
Demonstrate attentiveness to game activity, especially to dealing speed, card placement and game security.
Adhere to all Internal Controls, Policies and Procedures and Gaming Regulations.
Maintain professional demeanor on inactive (or "dead") games. Invite guests to play both directly (verbally) and indirectly by maintaining a pleasant and inviting manner.
Maintain knowledge of current table limits and communicate them to players in a professional manner.
Ensure the security of company assets and accountability for company funds.
Maintain the chip rack in a neat and accurate manner. Handle all transactions quickly and accurately. This includes, but is not limited to:
making change in various amounts, verifying fills and credits and handling player transactions.
Inform Table Games Supervisor and/or Table Games Manager of significant information regarding players' activities and win/loss information and/or any problems in the Table Games area.
Adhere to all established safety practices and standards.
Ensure compliance with IGRA, Tribal-State Compact, Tribal Gaming Ordinance, Tribal Gaming Regulations, FinCEN requirements and Warm Springs Gaming Enterprise Internal Controls.
Will perform other duties as assigned.
Skills/Experience required or preferred
Excellent communications skills are essential. This includes verbal, written and listening skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel, management and guests while providing excellent service to
internal and external customers. Must maintain strict confidentiality.
Skill in solving practical problems and deal effectively with situations where only limited standardization exists. Must be 21 years of age or older. Must submit to and pass a drug/alcohol screening test. Must submit to and pass an Oregon State background investigation.

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Certificates or Licenses
Certificate of Completion for Blackjack training from an accredited training institution is required for break-in Dealers.
Two (2) years of live dealing experience at a casino may be substituted fora training certificate.
