What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Coder position at INDIAN HEALTH CARE RESOURCE CENTER?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Medical Coder to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately coding medical records and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. The Medical Coder reviews providers chart notes for appropriate CPT and ICD Coding prior to billing to ensure that all coding is performed accurately and efficiently.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Review patient records for appropriate CPT and ICD coding prior to billing.
- Manage coding que.
- Charge ticket entry.
- Keep up to date with coding changes.
- Provide administration back-up to the Director of Patient Business Services to include reoccurring monthly trainings, reports and update CPT codes into system Intergy.
- Serves as part of contract for codes and billing.
- Trains and updates training for billing and coders.
- Maintain CEU’s.
- Provides coding education.
- High school diploma or equivalent. CPC.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Coding program.
- 3 years experience in medical coding.
- Must be detail oriented and organized.
- Intermediate computer skills.
