What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Clerk position at INDIAN HEALTH CARE RESOURCE CENTER?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Pharmacy Clerk to join our team. The Pharmacy Clerk plays an essential role in assisting the pharmacy staff with administrative tasks, ensuring smooth operations, and providing excellent customer service. Among other duties, the clerk will run and maintain reports, as well as call patients to schedule appointments with the Med Rec pharmacists.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Use electronic health record system and pharmacy management system to assist the Medication Reconciliation Pharmacist(s) in researching patient medication histories and scheduling patient visits.
- Run reports and pull data from electronic health record systems.
- Examines clinical and numerical data following specific sets of criteria. Documents findings as appropriate.
- Timely and accurately maintain multiple Excel spreadsheets.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Pharmacy technician or similar experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Use of electronic health record systems preferred.
- The ability to organize work in an effective and efficient manner.
