What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisory Physician (Clinical Director) position at Indian Health Service?
This position is located at the Woodrow Wilson Keeble Memorial Health Center in Sisseton, SD an IHS facility with an active outpatient, and urgent care. The incumbent serves as Clinical Director and has primary and full program supervisory responsibility and accountability for the service unit clinical / administrative / management services and activities within Clinical Services.
Duties
- Works on a day-to-day basis with Division supervisors in top management discussions, decisions, policy making, and sharing full accountability in management actions. Works on special work assignments.
- Providing direct patient care within the scope of clinical privileges.
- Organizes and maintains medical services and committee activities as required by the Sisseton Service Unit bylaws, rules, and regulations and for accreditation or certification
- Will assist and monitor activity in the areas of personnel, financial, medical / legal, compliance, and accreditation for the Clinical Services
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
GS-15 : 5 years of graduate training in the specialty of the position to be filled; OR, equivalent experience and training.
