Type: Tribal Salary Range: $350,000 to $499,413 / Per Year Open Period: 7/16/2015 to 9/30/2015 Summary: As a critical care specialist responsible for pain management and the maintenance of vital life functions during all types of surgical procedures. Anesthesiologist meets with patients in a preoperative setting to determine the best and safest course of action for pain management during surgery or other medical procedure, evaluating patient's medical history in order to come up with optimal course of action. Anesthesiologist will continue care of patient in the post anesthesia care unit as needed. Oversees the clinical delivery of care by Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists on staff. Duties: Incumbent recognized as an expert in the assigned specialty area. Independently performs a full range of anesthesiology cases of varying difficulty. Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to administer pain medicine; may include acute perioperative pain management, and assessment and treatment of inpatients and outpatients with chronic pain. Determine and administer the appropriate anesthetics and anesthetic techniques for each patient, recognizing unusual/atypical symptoms or signs; and is responsible for pain management through a full regimen involving knowledge of new techniques for the use of prolonged and/or complicated surgical or other medical procedures. Oversees the clinical delivery of care by Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists on staff. Qualifications: Completed accredited Medical School Program; Completed accredited Anesthesiology Residency Program; Minimum 2 years post residency clinical hospital experience; Medical Degree or DO Degree; and, Completed an ACGME or AOA-accredited program of postgraduate specialty training. Active, Full and Unrestricted-Medical License in any state, or Puerto Rico.
