Santo Domingo Health Center operation hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. This position allows the dental team to function more efficiently and better serve the intended population Duties: Mandatory Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications:
• Restores teeth after preparation is completed. This may include selection, contouring and placement of matrices, placement of bases and liners and packing, carving and polishing routine alloy restorations and places and contours temporary restorations.
• Assists chair side with pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, fully anticipating the dentist’s need for various instruments, materials, and services.
• Documents examination information and treatment performed.
• Orders necessary supplies and keeps Health Center properly stocked at all times.
• Maintains all Health Center areas including minor adjustments and cleanliness of Health Center areas.
• Keeps all instruments sharpened and properly cleaned or sterilized.
• Takes impressions for study models, pours and trims models, fabricates custom trays and bite rims.
• Applies and removes rubber dams, removes sutures, applies desensitizing agent, places surgical gauze following extractions and applies and removes periodontal dressing.
• Exposes, processes and mounts intra-oral and extra-oral radiographs.
• Performs oral prophylaxis, mechanical and ultrasonic tooth and pocket debridement of visible calculus, and applies topical fluoride treatments.
• Measures and records blood pressure.
• Maintains a variety of reports related to dental activities Qualifications: Experience: - A minimum of two years working in a dental office setting with experience in accessing, evaluating and taking appropriate measures to assist, teach and follow-up on preventative dental care.
