Type: Tribal Salary Range: $96,539 to $195,000 / Per Year Open Period: 7/30/2015 to 8/15/2015 Summary: The Indian Health Service (IHS) is the principal federal health care provider and health advocate for American Indians and Alaska Natives (AI/AN). The IHS goal is to raise Indian health status to the highest possible level. IHS provides leadership and direction to programs and activities designed to improve health outcomes to over 1.9 million AI/AN through a system of IHS, Tribal, and Urban operated facilities and programs.

We are seeking two (2) family medicine providers. Duties: · Responsible for the practice of medicine or direct service to patients involving the performance of diagnostic, preventative, or therapeutic services to patients in hospitals and clinics. · Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat, prevent illness, disease, or injury. · Order, perform, and interpret tests and analyze records, reports, and examination information to diagnose patients condition. · Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examinations results. · Monitor patients' conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments as necessary. · Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients. · Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary. · Coordinate work with nurses, pharmacists, social workers, and other allied health professionals in the provision of a variety of health services. Qualifications: Basic Requirements: Completion of family medicine residency program. Degree: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy from a school in the United States or Canada approved by a recognized accrediting body in the year of the applicant's graduation.
