Job Summary:
Indian Hills is seeking a responsible and mature individual to serve as the Golf Course Monitor for our Employee Golf Program on Mondays. This role is primarily focused on overseeing and ensuring that staff members participating in the employee golf benefit adhere to all course rules and guidelines. The Golf Course Monitor will check in participants, verify authorization, and supervise staff while they are on the course to ensure proper conduct. Additionally, the role includes the responsibility of closing the facility at the end of the day. The position is well-suited for someone looking for part-time work with a focus on supervision and maintaining a respectful environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Check in and verify employees participating in the Employee Golf Program to ensure proper authorization.
- Monitor staff members on the golf course to ensure adherence to club rules and guidelines.
- Maintain a visible and professional presence while staff are golfing, providing assistance as needed.
- Enforce safety regulations and ensure respectful behavior from all participants on the course.
- Address any issues or concerns related to employee conduct and escalate to management as necessary.
- Close the building and secure the facility at the end of the day, ensuring all areas are properly locked and secured.
- Report any maintenance or operational issues observed during the day to the appropriate department.
- Ensure that only authorized individuals are allowed on the golf course during employee play hours.
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and respectfully with staff members.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or monitoring role is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to enforce rules and regulations in a fair and consistent manner.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to observe and address issues as they arise.
- Ability to handle minor conflicts or concerns in a calm and professional manner.
- Basic knowledge of golf and country club operations is a plus, but not required.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform light physical tasks, such as closing and securing the building at the end of the day.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or customer-facing role is preferred, but not required.
- Experience working in a golf course or country club environment is a plus, but not essential.
- Familiarity with golf course etiquette, rules, and basic operations is helpful, but training will be provided.
- Experience managing or overseeing a group of individuals is beneficial.
- A strong background in handling responsibilities independently and ensuring compliance with established guidelines is desirable.
