Additional Information:
The assistant principal is in charge of student discipline and attendance, building operations, and completes teacher and support staff evaluations. The person supervises student conduct and behavior within school buildings, on school grounds, and at school sponsored activities in compliance with school and district policies and state rules and regulations. He/she leads PBIS and collaborates with other staff to create Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans to reduce barriers to student academic success. He/she provides classroom and school-wide behavior management strategies and leads social and emotional programming within the building. The assistant principal proactively creates a positive culture that is conducive to learning for all students implements the Emergency Operations Plan to ensure a safety for all.
