POSITION: SUPPORT STAFF II – CLASSROOM AIDE
HOURS: FULL-TIME POSITION (7HRS) – WORK STUDENT DAYS AND 4 INSERVICE DAYS
EFFECTIVE DATE: 2024/2025 SCHOOL YEAR
LOCATION: INDIAN LANE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
COMPENSATION: PER ESPA CONTRACT
JOB SUMMARY: Assist the teacher by monitoring and assisting special education students in the classroom and during other activities to ensure a provision of quality instruction. Maintain strict confidentiality with respect to information concerning students.
QUALIFICATIONS: Associate’s degree or higher or hold at least forty-eight (48) college credits or High school diploma or equivalent and pass a local assessment test in math and language arts; experience working with children, experience with special education students preferred; effective written and spoken communication skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment.
