What are the responsibilities and job description for the Beverage Equipment Technician position at Indian Nation Wholesale Co.?
The Beverage Equipment Technician sells beverage products and machinery to customers, installing and maintains equipment onsite and at the warehouse.
FLSA: Exempt Reports to: Beverage Manager
Essential Functions:
- Manage time efficiently in order to complete daily and weekly tasks when assigned to cover service calls on beverage equipment or sales of beverage products.
- Track service calls by recording type of call and resolution through beverage maintenance form.
- Build and develop relationships with current and new customers in order to provide excellent customer service and sales.
- Perform regular preventative maintenance on beverage equipment in stores and at warehouse.
- Performs additional duties as directed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of basic plumbing and electrical systems.
- Knowledge of necessary maintenance requirements, including use of hand and electrical tools and equipment.
- Skill in communicating effectively in writing or speaking as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
- Skill in effective time management in order to maximize productivity.
- Ability to provide quality customer service by meeting the customer’s needs within the scope of company and position.
- Ability to drive vehicle safely and efficiently.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of one-year experience in mechanical, electrical or plumbing maintenance.
- Valid driver’s license with no restrictions other than corrective lens. Possession of a clear driving record, with no more than two points.
- Must be over the age of 21.
- Cannot be a registered sex offender.
Equipment Used: Service van, hand tools and small power tools.
Working Conditions: Drive an enclosed truck; work outdoors while loading and unloading goods. Sometimes exposed to extreme temperatures while working outside.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, climbing and stooping, bending, twisting, and crawling.
- Frequent talking and hearing; use of the telephone and in-person communication.
- Frequent use of near and far vision while driving, installing, and maintaining equipment.
- Frequent lifting and carrying: 75 pounds or less.
- Often speaking and communicating with customers and co-workers in order to understand and meet needs.
- Often handling, picking up, sorting parts for equipment.
