What are the responsibilities and job description for the Location Supervisor position at Indian Nation Wholesale Co.?
The Location Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations at the assigned location by managing all drivers and office personnel. The position oversees and contributes to the efficiency and cleanliness of the facility by communicating with the Transportation Manager regularly and directing the work of staff.
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Reports to: Transportation Manager
Essential Functions:
- Communicate and explain work procedures to subordinates by providing essential information, so the location can adhere to the strategic goals of the company.
- Manage subordinates at the location by communicating expectations and maintaining accountability.
- Process monies collected by drivers from collection to deposit.
- Relay pertinent information to Transportation Manager regularly; including routine information and infrequent scenarios; working to resolve issues in a manner that aligns with company values.
- Complete duties of Delivery Driver in instances when location is short-staffed by operating a delivery truck, and conducting all responsibilities of the position, including product delivery, money collection, records management, and maintaining the truck.
- Maintain facility cleanliness through a routine cleaning schedule and washing trucks regularly.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of safe driving habits and procedures, including knowledge of the laws and regulations for the operation of motor vehicles.
- Knowledge of necessary maintenance requirements for automotive equipment, including use of hand tools and equipment required for vehicle maintenance.
- Knowledge of arithmetic – counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Skill in communicating effectively in writing or speaking as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
- Skill in attention to detail including awareness of surroundings, people and equip
- Ability to lead by example in order to create a professional and positive work environment.
- Ability to provide quality customer service by meeting the customer’s needs within the scope of position.
- Ability to drive vehicle safely and efficiently.
- Ability to perform the basic clerical tasks such as record keeping and form completion.
- Ability to effectively read and understand information contained in memoranda, reports and bulletins, etc.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with no restrictions other than corrective lens. Possession of a clear driving record, with no more than two points.
- Must be over the age of 21.
- Cannot be a registered sex offender.
