Customer Service Supervisor:
Performs and supervises a variety of customer service-related work in the Utility Billing Department. This is a trained customer service position, working independently under the general direction of the director.
- Supervises the customer service representatives and other related staff.
- Resolves elevated customers’ problems and concerns.
- Scheduling and timekeeping of staff.
- Payroll
- Perform Job Evaluations
- Oversees processing of customer payments, applications for new services, etc.
- Oversee cash room, daily balancing, and deposits.
- Review and manage key metrics for CSR transactional stats including phones and E-Services.
- Performs other job-related functions as required. Oversee daily operations and Customer inquiries.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. supplemented by five (5) years of related customer service working experience with a minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of formal education and working experience.
Two-year associate’s degree or equivalent may be substituted for two (2) years of work experience.
Licenses, Certifications, or Registrations:

Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:
Knowledge and ability to operate various office equipment and machines, including personal computers.
Knowledge of utility billing and collections procedures.
Knowledge of cash handling security and procedures.
Ability to create policies and procedures.
Knowledge of IRCU policies and procedures of the department and ability to put this knowledge into practice in daily operations.
Ability to interact effectively and tactfully with the public.
Ability to understand oral and written instructions.
Customer service skills.
Ability to communicate effectively under stressful situations and conditions.
