The Athletic Performance Coordinator will provide overall leadership to the Strength & Conditioning program for grades 6-12. They will work with Head Coaches and the athletic director to organize athlete training, supporting a collaborative relationship between athlete, parent, and school during the regular sports season and off-season. They will focus on skill development, teamwork, and fostering a positive, inclusive environment that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christians to the praise and glory of God in keeping with the Mission Statement.

- Must give testimony and evidence of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and sense the call of God to a serving ministry to foster the development of Christ-like character in student-athletes through mentorship, discipline, and leadership.
- Provide overall leadership and guidance to our Strength & Conditioning program for grades 6-12.
- Execute a program that is organized, energetic, competitive, and teaches students the value of strength and conditioning training.
- Implement a system to track student workouts, attendance, and progress. Recognize and reward high achievement.
- Work with Head Coaches to coordinate the training of in-season athletes.
- Organize and oversee a summer Strength & Conditioning camp for a wide range of students.
- Assist in providing nutritional education and resources to interested families.
- Work with Head Coaches to ensure proper conditioning measures, including warm-up and cool-down protocols.
- Engage with students beyond athletics by attending school events and building strong relationships with staff and students.
- Work alongside Coaches to ensure all workouts and team activities are structured and supervised.
- Partner with athletic trainers and students' medical providers to enhance rehabilitation and return-to-play protocols.
- Align the Physical Education curriculum with the Strength & Conditioning program, and organize and run Strength & Conditioning courses during the school day.
- Collaborate with the Athletic Director to prepare athletes for the demands of JV and Varsity sports and serve as a game manager for athletic events.
- Represent the athletic department at admission tours and special events, and participate in meetings with the Athletic Director to provide input and gain leadership experience.
- Establish and maintain open communication with players, parents, and school administration regarding team progress, schedules, and any concerns.
- Ensure that all athletes are properly equipped and adhere to safety standards during practices and games. Respond to injuries in a timely and professional manner, seeking medical attention when necessary.
- Work in cooperation with all levels of management, support staff, personnel, church leaders, volunteers, members, and guests to fulfill the mission of Indian Rocks.

- Previous coaching experience, as well as strong knowledge of the sport and the ability to teach fundamental skills.
- Qualifications & Preferred Credentials
- Certifications Required: CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) or SCCC (Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified).
- Preferred: USA Weightlifting Certification.
- Education: Master’s degree preferred.
- Must be able to travel for away games and events as required.
- Physical demands include demonstrating skills, running drills, and occasionally lifting sports equipment.
- Ability to maintain the highest levels of cleanliness and safety in the weight room.
- Excellent communication skills, both with athletes and school administration.
- Ability to motivate, inspire, and connect with student-athletes.
- The individual must stay updated on training requirements and communicate changes to the Supervisor and Human Resources Director. It is the staff member’s responsibility to remain current with current standards.
