What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Director- North East Park Campus position at Indian Rocks Christian Schools?
Indian Rocks Christian School (IRCS) is seeking a dedicated and passionate Christian educator to manage the IRCS Preschool Program. The ideal candidate will have a heart for Christ-centered education and a commitment to teaching from a biblical worldview while inspiring students academically and spiritually. To engage the spiritual, emotional, physical, social, and cognitive development of each child through appropriate use of leadership, supervisory, and administrative skills to learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christians to the praise and glory of God in keeping with the Mission Statement
- Be knowledgeable of and apply accurately the policies and procedures of Indian Rocks Christian Schools and Indian Rocks Baptist Church.
- Assist the Head of Schools and Elementary Principal to provide and maintain a spiritual atmosphere throughout the school.
- Provide spiritual leadership for Preschool students, teachers, staff and parents.
- Conduct annual appraisals/evaluations of all Preschool staff members based on formal and informal observations.
- Participate in the process of searching for, interviewing, recommendation and selection of teachers, aides, substitute teachers, and volunteers.
- Provide leadership for the planning, implementing and evaluation of the school instructional program and curriculum.
- Provide leadership in the area of learning, discipline, and student conduct and plan and participate in parent/teacher conferences as needed.
- Conduct and coordinate new student interviews and work with finance staff to assist families in the enrolment process.
- Evaluate progress of students academically, socially, physically and spiritually.
- Maintain and manage a complete inventory of all school equipment and other resources.
- Maintain knowledge of current Florida and Federal laws relative to the operation of a Preschool
- Plan and supervise enrichment, before school, in-school and after school activities.
- Ensure all Preschool staff maintain appropriate background check, certification and licensing requirements.
- Coordinate and establish a supervisory plan for the Preschool corridors and classrooms before school, during the school day and during dismissal to ensure safety.
- Education and Experience: Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development or related areas. 2 years of related experience recommended.

- Communicate effectively through written and verbal direction.
- Experience working with young children and the ability to work in a potentially loud setting with patience
- The individual must stay updated on training requirements and communicate changes to the Supervisor and Human Resources Director. It is the staff member’s responsibility to remain current with ACSI accreditation standards.
- Maintain a consistent Christian lifestyle, along with active membership at Indian Rocks, attending worship services, participating in a Life Group, serving in a ministry, and supporting stewardship in faithful tithing
- A collaborative, supportive leader that shows humility, drive, emotional intelligence, positivity, and loyalty to the IRCS vision and mission
