The Chin Support Human Resource (HR) Specialist will be responsible for translating documents for all procedures, one-point lessons and other safety and human resource documents. They will also complete interpretation for orientation, pre-shift meetings, trainings and other meetings as needed. This individual may be asked to support recruiting by interpreting during interview process, interpreting clinic and supporting all departments when language assistance is needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -
- Translation and interpretation from English to Burmese / Chin.
- Document translation of procedures, organizational communication, one-point lessons, and / or training documents.
- Interpret for new team member orientation, training, departmental meetings, and employee needs (benefits / clinic, etc.).
- Employee relations – includes spending time on the floor getting to know team members.
- Prepares management reports as requested, i.e.; attendance, discipline, overtime, employee contact information, etc.
- Maintains Human Resource Information System (HRIS) records and employee confidentiality in all activities.
- Other duties maybe assigned.

Experience :
1-3 years previous experience.
High School diploma or Equivalent (minimum education, and preferred education).
Language Requirements :
Ability to translate English into Chin / Burmese, Mara, Lautu and Zophei. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak and comprehend effectively after groups of customers or employees of the organization. Support team members with simultaneous interpreting as needed.
Reasoning Ability :
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

The team member must occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. On occasion the Team Member must be able to lift a container of fasteners weighing up to 25 pounds.. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is frequently required to sit; to use their hands to finger, handle, or feel; and to talk or hear.
