- Servicing accounts primarily in Lake County, but also in Porter and LaPorte Couties.
- Ideal applicant will have on-premise account experience (bars, restaurants, event venues, etc.) and live centrally located (such as Crown Point, Winfield, Merrillville and Hobart areas).
- Starting pay is $45,000 plus mileage reimbursement.

Summary/Objective
The position of Sales Trainee is responsible for the selling, merchandising, and the quality control of the entire Indiana Beverage portfolio in order to achieve distribution goals, and maximize sales performance objectives.
Essential Functions

- Serving as a role model by embracing and adhering to our Mission Statement as a means to serve and promote teamwork, cooperation and understanding.
- Adherence to OSHA safety standards and company safety policies and procedures.
- Must have knowledge in the portfolio and the local beer market.
- Makes sales presentations, following the "10 Steps to a Sales Call" to customers regarding all products within the portfolio, including new and seasonal products, pricing/promotions, marketplace fluctuations and trends, and profitability.
- Follows up with customers and assists them in determining brands, packages and quantity.
- Achieves monthly distribution and program goals for specific brands as required.
- Secures advantageous and brand positioning and POS/display space within the account.
- Stays up-to-date on account/market/territory conditions and identifies and adapts to competitive sales trends as allowed.
- Assists in deliveries to accounts as necessary which may be due to transportation errors or out-of-stock.
- Collects monies from accounts as required.
- Facilitates the issuance of credit to accounts by working with the office and completing the necessary paperwork.
- Monitors stock in accounts for close coded product and may rotate product to ensure quality, executes our close to code/less than 20 day policy.
- Attends General Sales and Team meetings when required.
- Attends social and promotional events when required.
- Maintains all company assigned equipment in proper working order.
- Sales Trainee must work flexible hours, including evening, weekend, or/or holidays in order to accommodate customer needs or special events.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or higher with ability to compute basic math functions.
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
- Previous sales experience preferred.
- Must 21 years of age holding a valid driver’s license with DWI/OWI free driving record that can be company insurable.
- Must be able to pass a post-offer drug screen, credit check, reference check, driving records review, criminal background check and essential functions screening.
- Must be committed to the responsible use of alcohol and understand and adhere to local and federal alcohol related laws.
- Must understand and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Must be able to obtain a Salesman Permit
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional environment. This role routinely uses standard equipment such as computers, iPads and iPhones. This employee is regularly required to drive to account locations in varying weather and traffic conditions.
