What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance Specialist position at Indiana County Transit Authority?
We are looking for a detail-oriented, structured, and collaborative member to join our team at IndiGO!
What You'll Do:
Play a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy, compliance, statistical reporting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, fiscal management, and accountability within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare spreadsheets
- Maintain and balance cash receipts, invoices, and revenue records.
- Organize financial files, purchase orders, and invoices.
- Handle weekly accounts processing and tax deposits.
- Assist with W-2s, 1099s, billing inquiries and vendor communications.
- Enter, analyze, and maintain ridership data for Shared Ride and Fixed Route services.
- Utilize accounting software (Sage100) and Microsoft Office Suite efficiently, especially Excel.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, policies, and best practices.
What You Bring:
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Minimum high school diploma or GED
- Formal accounting, business, and/or finance courses at an accredited college or business school, with accounting and bookkeeping experience preferred.
