EMA DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF TRAINING
The Indiana County Emergency Management Agency is seeking to fill, a newly created
position, for Deputy Director of Training. (Job Description attached)
The person filling this position will be working with the EMA Director, Deputy Director of
Operations and the 9-1-1 Coordinator, to schedule, staff and coordinate all aspects of
training within EMA. This includes all Local EMA Coordinator Training; Team 900
HAZMAT/Tech Rescue Training; and Local Level Emergency Service Training held at
the County Public Safety Training Academy. They will work with PEMA, PSFA, PA-
DOH, Region-13 and other local training organizations for coordination of training and
certification programs as required to maintain competent levels of accreditation within all
agencies served by Indiana County EMA.
This person will also be part of the Team 900 response element, and will hold a position
of Deputy Chief of Team 900. As such they will have access to a county vehicle for
responding on calls 24/7.
Healthcare, with employee contribution between 10% & 12%

Uniforms, County Fleet Vehicle, provided
After Hours, Team 900 Call response and training paid at team rates of $20.00 per
training event and $60.00 per call response.
Starting Salary: $48,589.00, Pay Grade 14, Non-union, 7.5 hour work day, regular
schedule Monday thru Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 p.m. Obviously, hours are flexible due to
off hours training program requirements.
90-day probationary period required.
