Position Summary

The Director of Performance Quality Improvement is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of quality assurance initiatives across all program areas. This individual will ensure compliance with licensing requirements, clinical standards, regulatory guidelines, and organizational policies. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Performance Quality Improvement will also provide direct supervision to a dedicated team and play a pivotal role in advancing operational excellence at T.C. Harris School & Academy.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance and Compliance

  • Lead proactive quality assurance practices to maintain compliance with licensing and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct root cause analyses for incidents, identifying trends, and driving corrective actions.
  • Oversee regulatory audits and accreditation processes, serving as the primary liaison for licensing agencies.
  • Develop and implement action plans to address regulatory findings.

Strategic Development

  • Create evaluation frameworks to assess program strengths, identify gaps, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate projects focused on process enhancements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Analyze outcome data to measure program effectiveness and recommend improvements.

Leadership and Team Oversight

  • Supervise the Quality Assurance Assistant, Training Coordinator, and Data Entry Specialist.
  • Provide task direction to Case Coordinators, Therapists, and Program Supervisors as needed.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.

Operational Excellence

  • Monitor and improve documentation and record-keeping practices to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Promote employee engagement through transparent communication and supportive leadership.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, maintaining a professional and respectful workplace environment.

Qualifications

Education: Master’s Degree in a human services-related field (required).

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with individuals diagnosed with emotional, mental health, neurological, or developmental disabilities in a residential setting.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience (preferred).

Skills:

  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of RTC program procedures, licensing standards, and accreditation requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related software tools (myEvolv, Infinite Campus etc.)
