Overview
11am-7pm (works every other weekend)
QUALIFICATIONS: Experience operating kitchen equipment (including dishwasher), food preparation, serving, and use of industrial cleaners preferred.
SUPERVISION: This position reports to the Food Services Supervisor and has no direct reports.
POSITION PHILOSOPHY: Health Services/Dietary team member with food service expertise. Is responsible for performing a variety of kitchen tasks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS LISTED BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
OVERALL EXPECTATIONS
1. Work scheduled hours as assigned by the Food Services Supervisor.
2. Submits for prior approval any changes in work schedule to the Food Services Supervisor.
3. Submits requests for paid time off (PTO) to the Food Services Supervisor.
4. Submits completed timecard and payroll information forms for approval to the Food Services Supervisor.
5. Follows procedures when unable to report to work as scheduled. Notifies the Food Services Supervisor if unable to work. Demonstrates a good attendance record.
6. Demonstrates appropriate use of agency Employee Handbook information, policies, and procedures.
7. Observes rules of confidentiality both on the job, and in the community.
DEPARTMENTAL EXPECTIONS
1. Consults with the Food Services Supervisor as needed to discuss departmental or agency issues.
2. Attends food services meetings as schedule by the food services Supervisor.
a. Discusses food services issues and problems and suggests possible solutions.
b. Discusses and reviews food services and/or agency concerns and operations.
3. Keeps kitchen in a neat and orderly fashion, including the storeroom, freezer and cooler.
4. Cleans all cooking utensils and equipment.
5. Cleans all eating utensils.
6. Maintains the cleanliness and operations of dishwasher and all related equipment. Reports any malfunction to the Food Services Supervisor.
