What are the responsibilities and job description for the Day Shift Maintenance Technician position at Indiana Furniture Industries Inc?
All employees must wear safety glasses at all times. (Non-prescription safety glasses will be provided by Indiana Furniture.) Hearing protection and work gloves are available upon request. Individuals accepting job assignments with Indiana Furniture must be able to work during scheduled work hours on a regular basis.
Maintenance Technician - must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations:
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
- Install, test, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, modify, and repair equipment
- Fabricate basic parts as needed for machine repair
- 24-volt troubleshooting
- Complete maintenance work orders in a timely and efficient manner
- Work with machine operators, production supervisors, and contractors to resolve specific mechanical problems and repairs
- Successfully manage multiple assignments through effective prioritization and time management
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Good eye for detail is required
- Ability to work independently
- Lift up to 50 lbs maximum and up to 20 lbs regularly
