What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler-Kitting position at Indiana Furniture Industries Inc?
All employees must wear safety glasses at all times. (Non-prescription safety glasses will be provided by Indiana Furniture.) Hearing protection and work gloves are available upon request. Individuals accepting job assignments with Indiana Furniture must be able to work during scheduled work hours on a regular basis.
Material Handler/Kitter must be able to perform the following functions with or without reasonable accommodations:
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to use a computer and scanner
- Pull material as needed
- Pull parts from pallets and put in assembly carts
- Attention to detail
- Willing to crosstrain in other areas and jobs
- Load, unload or stack containers, materials or products
- Lift up to 50 lbs maximum and up to 20 lbs regularly. (Anything heavier requires assistance with lifting)
- Safety must always be your #1 priority
