What are the responsibilities and job description for the Packer position at Indiana Furniture Industries Inc?
All employees must wear safety glasses at all times. (Non-prescription safety glasses will be provided by Indiana Furniture.) Hearing protection and work gloves are available upon request. Individuals accepting job assignments with Indiana Furniture must be able to work during scheduled work hours on a regular basis.
Packer - must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations:
- Package goods for shipment or storage
- Ability to lift, bend, stoop, push, pull, stand entire shift
- Ability to close shipping boxes
- Attach or mark identification onto products or containers
- Knowledge of how to use glue gun or banding machine
- Knowledge of how to use a hand truck
- Ability to load a truck
- Safety must always be your #1 priority
