What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sewing Technician position at Indiana Furniture Industries Inc?
This position will be responsible for cutting and sewing upholstery fabric. This position reports to the upholstery supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Use sewing machines to sew upholstery chair fabric
- Read tape measure
- Use C-Gex machine to upholster small chairs as needed
- Cross-train in other departments
Requirements
- Must be able to function in a fast-paced team environment
- Safety-minded and detail-oriented
- Must quality inspect your own work
- Prioritize job assigned job task
- Good communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- 2 years of general upholstery sewing experience preferred
- Experience using various types of sewing machines preferred
