Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center provides comprehensive care for patients with hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder medical conditions and injuries. There are 11 highly-skilled and well-recognized surgeons in the practice and 22 highly-skilled hand therapists.

We currently have an opportunity for a full-time Billing Representative for our main location.
Billing Representative Overview:
This individual will be responsible for processing all charges/adjustments for the practice.
Billing Representative Responsibilities:
- Review clinic charge tickets on a daily basis, process all E&M billing in White Plume which includes DX coding, adding modifiers, and correct CPT E&M codes. Communicates with clinical teams regarding discrepancies and/or recommendations for change.
- Monitor clinic fee ticket tracking report to ensure the capturing of clinic charges.
- Monitor all surgery logs to ensure the capturing of surgery center charges. Review daily surgery schedules to log cases for tracking. Communicate with the physician/staff regarding omissions.
- Complete physician delinquent dictation report every Friday.
- Process incoming billing mail.
- Logs surgery cases from report sent daily.
- Scans all op notes in SRS for billing.
- Perform other duties assigned by Billing/ Collection Manager.
Billing Representative Requirements/Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year medical billing/coding (E/M coding & diagnosis coding) experience required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- This position requires work be completed onsite
- Excellent communication skills required
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
Full-time Monday-Friday, hours can be flexible (arrival 7:30 AM - 9 AM, depart 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM)
