What are the responsibilities and job description for the Member Service Representative position at Indiana Heartland Federal Credit Union?
The Member Service Representative (MSR) - Teller position exists to serve our members in Kokomo, Indiana. This is a full-time front-line position, and the Member Service Representative will be responsible for providing members with an outstanding service experience within the framework of the Indiana Heartland Federal Credit Union Shared Values.
Major Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Open new member accounts.
- Helping members with their basic financial transactions (such as conducting deposits and withdrawals, posting credit card payments and balance transfers, receiving debit card and check orders, etc.)
- Providing information about products and services to members in order to serve their financial needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Willingness to talk to strangers about IHFCU products and services they might utilize.
- Attention to detail when presented with multiple priorities at once.
- Knowledge in computer operating systems ( e.g. Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, CU Software).
- Ability to follow lengthy procedures for account opening.
- Ability to describe and sell products and services to members.
- Ability to change focus efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Desire to help others in your community.
- Previous experience in a teller or member service role in a credit union or bank environment preferred but not required.
