Indiana Hydraulic Equipment, Corp. (IHC) was established by Toyota Industries (TICO) to manufacture Toyota Quality hydraulic equipment for U.S. forklift manufacturers. IHC is supported by Nishina Industries, as a mother factory, which is located in Nagano, Japan.IHC supplies hydraulic products to the Toyota Material Handling Group (TMHG) which are industrial forklift manufactures within the TICO Group.
Position – Product Assembly. Shift- 1st. 6:30 am. - 3:00 pm. Overtime as required.
Position Overview:
Final Assembly associates use various power, pneumatic, and hand tools to assemble component parts into finished products. Operators will be expected to assemble parts within the process time and will be responsible for meeting daily production targets. They will also be responsible for ensuring parts are assembled in accordance with work instructions, and will ensure quality standards are being met.
Assemblers will need to have good attention to detail, and the ability to communicate issues effectively.
Essential Duties:
- Primary duties are to use tools and and other machinery to assemble component parts into final products
- Conduct all duties and daily tasks in a safe manner.
- Learn job procedures and processes for assembly.
- Inspect parts visually for faults and other defects upon completion of assembly or during the process.
- Communicate with Team Lead regarding daily activities
- Perform duties to meet daily production targets
- Operate all processes within TAKT time established based on demand.
- Other duties as needed.
- Must be able to lift 45 pounds.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness.
- Follow the companies Environmental Commitments.
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience with hand and tools; i.e. torque wrench, ratchet, screw guns, air tools
- 1 year prior experience in assembly department of a manufacturing firm.
- Good attention to detail is a must.
- Knowledge of the metric system required.
- Ability to be on your feet and mobile for 8 hours per day.
- Experience is working in accordance with daily or hourly targets.
- Finger and hand dexterity and coordination to manage assembling small parts during overall process.
- The candidate must possess good communication skills and be safety conscious.
