PURPOSE : The Call Center Loan Specialist is responsible for processing and closing loan applications along with soliciting lending products for members. We are looking for an individual knowledgeable in consumer lending and excels in strong verbal communication. This position will provide exceptional member service and assist in meeting the needs of each member they come in contact with.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Solicit membership for member lending needs
- Interview Members for Loans by Phone, Email, Mail, or Fax
- Evaluate credit worthiness by processing loan applications and documentation within specified limits
- Prepare all loan documents for closing
- Process credit card applications
- Assess customer needs, explore all options and introduce different types of loans
- Cross Sell Other Credit Union Products
- Assist with Member Service calls and questions as needed
- Process Synapsis Queue Events, reports and other referrals
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
REGISTRATIONS
This position requires registration as a Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) with the Nationwide Mortgage Lending System (NMLS) and registry on an annual basis in addition to maintaining updates as needed. Must be registered and approved by the NMLS registry within sixty days of hire date. Failure to register or maintain a current registry, or any criminal activity that would bar continued participation as a MLO may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
