What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teller Supervisor position at Indiana Members Credit Union?
PURPOSE: We are looking for an experienced individual with strong supervisory skills and knowledge of financial institution operations. The Teller Supervisor is responsible for supervising and assist tellers, help solve problems and answer all questions that arise regarding member transactions. They will make sure the branch balances daily and train tellers on all policy and procedures (new or changed). Candidate must have a strong knowledge of banking policies & procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Supervise tellers and teach/train tellers on new products or procedures
Balance branch and vault daily
Open & close accounts
Supply cash for tellers (order and detail Brinks)
Teller transactions
Assist employees with problem solving
Answer phone and teller questions
Balance and supply ATM & cash dispenser machines
Remote Capture checks
Scan member documents
Make sure all tellers are in balance
Change security tapes and test alarms monthly
Open and access safe deposit boxes if applicable
Process and create ATM/Debit Cards for members
Work up daily and Saturday schedules
Supervise Night Deposits, Wire transfers, large currency reports, deceased members, handle irate members
Prepare coin for pick-up
Compile End Of Month work
Open/close branch
Handle organizational accounts, pool teller evaluations, keep log of bait money, pull reports from imaging system, etc.
Complete branch security meeting semi-annually
Process petty cash when necessary
Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or equivalent
6-12 months financial institution experience required
Previous supervisor experience
Cash handling & customer service skills
