About the Role
As a Hospital Liaison, you'll be responsible for responsible for developing hospital and physician relationships within a territory designed to support the highest level of organ, tissue and/or eye donation outcomes. Responsibilities include:
- Serving as the organ and tissue donation liaison to key unit nursing management, nursing staff, physicians, hospital leadership and Indiana Donor Network personnel, who participate in the management and facilitation of a potential organ or tissue donors within the Indiana Donor Network designated service area.
- Responding to referrals from assigned hospitals to collect and communicate data regarding suitability of potential donors.
- Maintaining appropriate record keeping, performance and outcomes data in order to sustain and/or improve service delivery to the hospital and Indiana Donor Network, as well as improving donation and transplant outcomes from organ and/or tissue donors from hospitals in the designated service area.
- Participating on projects or committees that enhance or improve the overall success or culture of the organization.
This is a Monday through Friday day-shift position with some weekend and holiday commitments. The position supports hospital relationships in a large 10 county territory northeast of Indianapolis.
Who We’re Looking For
A Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required. A background in marketing, health administration, healthcare sales or health-related field is required. Previous exposure to a critical care delivery setting is preferred. Professional experience in the organ/tissue donation industry is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
