Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures in both outpatient settings.
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, medical histories, and documenting relevant information.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the medical office or hospital environment.
- Support the medical team in various departments, including medical-surgical units and operating rooms (OR).
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards while providing patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and address any concerns they may have.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program is preferred.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is an advantage.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures related to outpatient care, emergency medicine, and urgent care.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and healthcare staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems is desirable.
