THE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN POSITION
The primary function of this position is to assist the Maintenance Director in all maintenance functions and plant operations in accordance with all standards, guidelines and regulations. This position will receive guidance from the Maintenance Director and/or Administrator to maintain a clean, safe, comfortable and attractive environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.
Beacon currently has an opportunity for a FULL TIME Maintenance Technician. The standard schedule will be during the week, but availability may be required on weekends and holidays, as operations require.

TOP AREAS OF FOCUS FOR OUR MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
- Handles general maintenance requirements of the facility, including painting, plumbing repairs, HVAC repairs, grounds keeping, carpentry and electrical work.
- Assists in keeping the facility clean, traffic areas clear and lawn mowed.
- Responsible for preventative maintenance and maintaining log.
- Assist in moving furniture for residents and to meet facility needs.
- Works cooperatively with staff and residents.
- Maintains confidentiality of information.
- Represents the facility in a positive and professional manner.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally push carts weighing up to 100 pounds. Other physical requirements can be provided at interview for review.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma, GED or graduation from a technical school. Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general labor. Preferred experience in healthcare, long-term care and/or Life Safety codes.
