Indiana Spine Group is a growing physician owned specialty practice with multiple locations central Indiana. Team work is emphasized as well as each employee’s responsibility for individual work load.
Role Overview:
Provide technical support for a busy medical practice, surgery center, 20 bed hospital, and academic center. Must be comfortable working in a small IT environment where you will be a “jack of all trades”, ranging from helpdesk support to server and network configuration.
Prerequisite Experience:
Sufficient training and/or experience in computer systems support so that all Essential Functions can be performed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide friendly and efficient IT support and training to all users.
- Install and maintain PCs, laptops, printers, scanners and other IT hardware.
- Help maintain desktop images and apply images to new or existing PCs.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
- Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems.
- Provide users with connectivity support.
- Assist with server support, network configuration, and larger IT infrastructure projects.
- Test and evaluate new technologies and software.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of systems support experience OR 1-2 years of experience and BA/BS in information systems or related field.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to hardware, software, networks, and other technologies.
- Ability and desire to maintain current knowledge of job-related technologies.
- Ability to communicate professionally in person, via email, Microsoft Teams, and on the phone.
- Ability to manage multiple tickets and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to provide friendly and personable service is a must.
- Customer service training is a plus.
- Prior experience in a healthcare facility is preferred.
Computer Skills:
- Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, operating systems, and networking concepts.
- Solid knowledge of MS Office and ability to assist users with those products.
- Microsoft 365 experience a plus
- Understand DHCP, DNS, Active Directory (moves, adds, changes), VPN access and general network connectivity.
- Printer support and maintenance experience.
- Experience with Avaya IP Office phone system a plus.
- Experience with Electronic Health Records software (Cerner, Epic, etc.) a plus.
