The executive associate dean for Faculty Affairs is Indiana University School of Nursing's (IUSON) chief operating officer for faculty affairs at the Indiana University core school of nursing, a multi-campus school of nursing. The executive associate dean provides leadership to ensure integration of school faculty governance structures and processes, professional development, faculty tenure and promotion processes, and communication with external and internal partners and affiliates in relation to faculty affairs. The executive associate dean reports to the dean, is a member of the School’s Leadership Team, and participates in faculty governance.

Position responsibilities include :
- Provides overall strategic direction and leadership for faculty affairs of IUSON.
- Collaborates with the Executive Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and the Executive Dean of Research to oversee strategic priorities.
- Oversees and supports faculty affairs processes (e.g., appointment, promotion, tenure, sabbaticals) in collaboration with faculty governance and academic leaders.
- Validates that IUSON policies pertaining to faculty affairs are current and aligned with campus and University policies. Interprets relevant campus and University policies.
- Oversees faculty search processes in collaboration with the Dean.
- Ensures recruitment, development, advancement, and succession planning of a qualified and inclusive body of faculty.
- Provides guidance to faculty leaders to ensure productivity and workload standards are appropriately implemented and followed.
- In collaboration with Executive Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and the Executive Dean of Research, develops and oversees professional development programs for faculty and faculty leaders throughout their career lifecycle.
- Provides guidance to faculty leaders and works with relevant campus and university offices on cases of faculty misconduct.
- Represents IUSON on matters related to faculty affairs within the University and externally to constituents.
- Facilitates communication and coordination of activities between administration and key faculty governance leaders.
