Job Summary
Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Works closely with dean's office, department chairs, faculty, and academic and career advisors to ensure the College is offering and highlighting curriculum and professional development opportunities that will attract high-performing students.
- Works with the College's Office of Marketing and Communications to develop and implement full range of marketing materials, strategic communications, and events.
- Manages on-campus recruitment initiatives, including planning and executing College Preview Days and other special events.
- Determines ways to engage key constituents (alumni, faculty, teachers, guidance counselors, fellow students) effectively throughout the recruitment process. Develops recruiting training programs for those constituents.
- Selects, trains, and manages a team of Student Ambassadors to represent the College at recruiting events, meets with potential students, answers questions, and serves as public face of the College.
- Oversees College of Arts and Sciences weekly information sessions held in conjunction with the Office of Admissions campus visits.
- Maintains office accountability and integrity to include compliance with campus policies and best practices, Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), and federal student financial aid regulations.
- Provides orientation and guidance for staff, students, and volunteers who engage with the office and recruitment efforts. Assigns tasks to hourly and support staff as needed.

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
