Job Summary
Department Specific Responsibilities
- Conducts maintenance of boilers and related components
- Performs routine inspections to identify and address potential issues
- Executes preventive maintenance to ensure optimal boiler performance
- Diagnoses and repairs malfunctions in boilers and associated equipment, including gas-fired furnaces and humidifiers, etc.
- Troubleshoots problems and implement effective solutions
- Responds to emergency repair requests promptly and efficiently
- Proficient in tuning boilers to achieve optimal efficiency
- Conducts and analyzes flue gas analysis to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Ensures all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and guidelines
- Maintains accurate records of maintenance and repair activities
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned, including general building maintenance duties
- Provides Standby coverage as required

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to remain in a stationary position as well as the ability to move about the workplace for long durations. It requires effective communication, the ability to operate machinery, tools, and controls. The role requires the ability to ascend / descend ladders / stairs, and to position one's self in low level positions, detect a variety of chemicals and / or gases. The role requires the ability to ascend to rooftops and move in tight spaces to perform and complete inspections. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
