Job Summary
The Business Analyst conducts in-depth assessments to align client business needs with strategic goals, identifying tailored solutions, and providing systems analysis for the design, development, and support of university systems. Serving as the administrator for Undergraduate Education technology systems, the position acts as a liaison with the central university IT organization (UITS). Strong organizational, communication, prioritization, and collaboration skills are essential to support UE system users and provide advisement on projects, features, and defect resolution.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Responsibilities include monitoring systems for hardware and application needs, performance optimization, and maintenance, as well as managing academic and technology-related projects.
- Administers day-to-day operations for Undergraduate Education (UE) technology systems, including custom-built and vendor-provided applications.
- Serves as the operational liaison between UE and designated areas within UITS.
- Collaborates with UE stakeholders and UITS technical teams to define project scope, gather requirements, conduct testing, and implement IT systems.
- Identifies operational challenges and opportunities for improvement, coordinating solutions to enhance processes and efficiency.
- Partners with UE Communications and Marketing to maintain and update UE web pages.
- Supports departmental staff with : Building forms and workflows using tools like FireForm and Qualtrics.Managing evaluation processes for UE programs through Qualtrics or similar platforms.Handling user access requests for various systems, including UE custom applications and FireForm.Provides general application support and tier 1 issue triage.Conducts user access audits to ensure appropriate permissions for UE staff.
