Job Summary
The Career Coach serves as an integral member of the College of Arts and Sciences newly formed Academic Engagement and Student Experience Team, which brings together key student serving functions including academic advising, career services, international programs and recruiting.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Provides expert, industry-specific, career advising to College of Arts Science students, in both 1- on -1 and group-based settings, on a diverse array of topics including life design, career exploration, job and internship search strategies, and writing professional correspondence (resume, cover letter, personal statement, professional portfolio, etc.).
- Facilitates multiple career-related events, workshops and classroom presentations each semester on topics relating to job and internship search strategies and the career development process.
- Instructs multiple sections of credit-bearing career courses on topics that range from basic career development and life design to industry-focused job and internship search strategies and internship-for-credit.

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
