Job Summary
Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Provides strategic vision and operational supervision to the Auxiliaries Marketing and Communications team. Supervision includes creative direction, asset development, operational research, message refinement, and quality control.
- Creates the strategy and vision to meet FAB and campus auxiliary needs; provides direction for development of creative assets and resources to achieve customer goals from informational needs to marketing and, in some cases, sales; and employs multi-modal and innovative communication and marketing strategies and campaigns tailored to the interests and needs of the diverse audiences served by FAB and the auxiliaries.
- Supports FAB leadership and auxiliary directors with resources (graphics, photography, editorial support, social media presence, web presence, etc.) that help them communicate with their audiences; promote awareness of auxiliary services; and share the successes and stories of the auxiliary units and staff.
- Supports auxiliary directors with creative resources in applying for external funding.
- Works with internal teams at FAB to design effective informational and training resources that support the work of financial teams across campus.
- Works with resource owners and campus partners to promote collaborative, sustainable, and strategic use of campus funding to address the marketing and communication goals of campus and FAB.
- Fosters data-driven, results-oriented approaches to creative campaign development and implementation.
- Fosters a service-oriented, accountable team environment comprised of a creative team that includes staff members and student interns with expertise in graphic design, photography, videography, editorial support, social media, web development, and operational research.
- Motivates the team to perform efficiently and at the highest level. Holds team members accountable for innovative, on-time, on- or under-budget deliverables that meet or exceed client expectations.
- Facilitates and encourages professional development for all staff positions and ensure cross-training of skills so that redundancy in key skills and staffing exists.
- Models and encourages mentorship within the team to grow talent, including for junior staff members and for student interns.
- Reviews and helps create workflow processes and procedures to ensure the efficient operation of a team that supports multiple simultaneous projects in various stages of development and a large number of units with diverse needs.

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
