Job Summary
- Performs tasks related to the cleanliness and upkeep of IU Hotel guest rooms and / or campus residential and guest spaces.
- May perform occasional duties in support of other needs, such as laundry or general maintenance.
- Cleans and prepares hotel rooms for both arriving guests and for intermediate in-stay service for existing guests daily.
- Ensures all furnishings in each guest rooms are free of evidence of a previous guest and that all items are in working order and ready for new guests daily and meets the Biddle standard of guest room inspection.

This role regularly requires the ability to effectively communicate. This role frequently requires the ability to handle equipment. This role frequently requires the ability to remain stationary and ascend / descend ladders / stairs. This role requires the ability to move objects weighing up to 25 pounds. The role requires the ability to detect items in proximity as well as far away; discern between colors; detect objects in peripheral space of self; discern items in detail; and to have good depth perception. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

Advertised Salary
13.10 per hour
Work Hours
Weekday and weekend hours.
Work hours depend on hotel occupancy but do require weekends and some holidays.
This position is capped up to 29 hours per week.
