Job Summary
The Pharmacy Technician assists the IU Student Health Center Pharmacist(s) in all aspects of pharmacy care as allowed by state and federal law and regulations.
Department- Specific Responsibilities
- Certified Pharmacy Technicians may also request prescription transfer from outside retail pharmacies via fax, prepare compounded medications using non-sterile processes and prepare prescription packages from dorm deliveries via campus mail as well as UPS mail.

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate. It involves remaining in a stationary position for long periods of time as well as moving around the work environment. The position requires moving and assembling objects and placing objects on high and low shelving units and storage racks. The role requires the ability to detect details of objects and the ability to move objects weighing up to 25 pounds. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
