IU Health is currently looking for a Clinical Nurse - Laser Clinical Specialty Coordinator to join the Adult Medical Unit at Methodist Hospital. If you are a Registered Nurse ready to advance your career, we encourage you to apply!

This position operates from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with a rotational day off. General call and holiday coverage will be required. Candidates must have OR experience and a solid understanding of laser protocols. Additionally, Laser Safety Officer training will be mandatory within the first 60 days of employment. Flexibility for off-shift training and education is also expected.

Responsibilities include extensive assessment and clinical judgment of physiological health care, monitoring the status and providing an appropriate plan of care in collaboration with the health care team. Serves as the clinical expert to assigned staff and is a strong unit leader and performs unit and system leadership activities as necessary to support the specific service line. Applies advanced clinical knowledge of the specialty and is required to scrub and/or circulate. Responsible for developing a core curriculum, in conjunction with the clinical educator and system education, for the service line and oversees orientation of new staff and on-going staff education and evaluation of these programs within the service line. Acts as a role model, resource person, and member of the management team as well as keeping the organization Inc. Mission and Vision at the forefront of all patient care and system activities.

• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN).
• Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
